The debut single ‘ELEVEN’ by IVE has gained a lot of attention as soon as it was released on December 1, 2021. One of the reasons for their popularity is that they had two members, Ahn Yu-jin and Jang Won-young, from the now-disbanded group IZ*ONE. The fact that they already had fans from their former group, IZ*ONE, helped them with their fame. 



The hook part of the lyrics goes: “난 몰랐어 내 맘이 이리 다채로운지”. 

It means “I had no idea that my heart was this colorful”. 다채롭다 is directly translated to ‘various colors,’ which means ‘colorful’. The line means that she didn’t know that she had so many emotions (until she met this person).

The lyrics are as follows:

따분한 나의 눈빛이
My eyes always seems bored

무표정했던 얼굴이
My face that usually lacks expressions

널 보며 빛나고 있어
are now sparkling, seeing you.

널 담은 눈동자는 odd
Your reflection in my eyes

‘Blue’ that is blooming fully inside me,

These feelings that I’m having now are true

I had no idea that my heart(feelings) could be so colorful like this.

Hello, this is Uptempo! In July 2021, a Chinese man in his 50s got arrested for killing two people in China and fleeing to Korea. It took years to catch him because he has ‘ 신분세탁 (washed his identity) ’ . While hiding in China, he made a new passport after ‘ 신분세탁 (washing his identification) ’. He entered Korea in 2016, and has obtained a permanent residency (F5) visa by marrying a Chinese woman who had obtained Korean citizenship a while back.
