[Korean Culture & Language] God-life
Hello, this is Uptempo!
Nowadays, many Gen MZs choose to live a ‘갓생’ rather than to become super rich or successful. The word ‘갓생’ is made up of the English word ‘God(갓)’ and the Chinese letter ‘生(생-life)’. ‘Living a 갓생’ means ‘to live productively, diligently, and to be content with what one already has.’
The below video illustrates a typical ‘갓생’ morning routine:

Wake up early - It seems difficult at first, but anyone could do it.
간단하게 세수양치하고 츄리닝+후드+모자+패딩 뒤집어쓰고 에어팟 탁 귀에 꽂아서 좋아하는 노래 무한반복 해놔.
Wash your face, brush your teeth, put on a hoodie + sweatpants + cab + down jacket, wear your AirPods, and put your favorite song on repeat.
편의점 가서 초코케이크/마카롱 하나 먹고
Go to a convenience store and get some chocolate cake or macaroons.
9시까지 무작정 산책하기
Walk until 9 am.
집 들어와서 샤워해. 그러면 10시임. 평소에 일어나던 시간 ㅋㅋ
Shower once you get home. Then it will be 10 am, which is when you usually wake up.
요가해. 한 10분 정도 몸 풀어. 엄마/자매랑 같이 하면 좋음
Do some yoga. Stretch for about 10 minutes. It’s good to do it with your sister or mom.
앉아서 단어를 외우거나 문제를 풀거나 하면서 1시간만 공부해.
Sit and learn new vocabulary or solve some math problems. Study for an hour.
What would your ‘갓생’ day look like?
