Korean version of Thunderous by Stay Kids is titled ‘소리꾼,’ which is directly translated to ‘noise expert’. And the lyrics include ‘나무꾼’ and ‘잔소리꾼,’ which means ‘woodcutter’ and ‘nagger’ respectively.

줏대 없다: spinless (personality)


‘꾼’ usually refers to an ‘expert’. However, new terms like ‘사랑꾼,’ ‘셀기꾼,’ and ‘마기꾼’ have appeared. They are directly translated to ‘love expert,’ ‘selfie expert,’ and ‘mask scammers’.

The word ‘사랑꾼’ is used when someone is particularly good at making the other person feel loved. ‘셀기꾼’ refers to someone who is extremely skilled at taking good selfies. ‘마기꾼’ is a sarcastic way of describing someone who looks completely different when wearing a mask than when they are not. Many ‘마기꾼’ has appeared since the COVID-19 pandemic.
