Whether you are a K-Drama enthusiast or just someone who enjoys eating, you'll love South Korean street foods. They are not only delicious but also inexpensive. Some of the easy-to-find and must-try street foods are 떡볶이, 순대, 닭꼬치, 만두, 튀김, 계란빵, and 호떡.

떡볶이 is one of the most famous Korean street foods made from long, white, cylinder-shaped rice cakes with 고추장 (chili paste) and/or 간장(soy sauce). Eggs and scallions are typically used in their preparation. It is chewy, sweet, spicy, and salty. If you haven’t tried it before, it is like gnocchi in a spicy sauce.

These days, 떡볶이s come in many different flavors, such as 카레 떡볶이 (curry 떡볶이), 크림떡볶이 (Cream 떡볶이), 로제떡볶이 (Rose 떡볶이), 갈비 떡볶이(Ribs 떡볶이), and so on.

Another popular street food in Korea is 계란빵 (Egg bread).

계란빵 is a hot, steaming little loaf of bread stuffed with egg. It is an excellent snack because it’s sweet, salty, and fluffy. There are many different versions of 계란빵. For some of them, the egg is sandwiched between two layers of bread batter. For others, the egg is placed directly on top of the bread, allowing the yolk to show.

Have you ever tried Korean street food? Which one is your favorite, and why?
